The outside of this Kindle Fire cover has a rubberized feel that surrounds the strong and light polycarbonate. The stand itself isn’t very strong, but it is meant to be used to prop up the Kindle Fire while you’re enjoying a movie or show, and not used while you are touching the screen a lot. Overall, this is a quality light-weight case that does the job of protecting your Kindle Fire just nicely.

The main difference between the two covers listed above is that first one is a hard and light polycarbonate and the second has a leather exterior. The leather adds to both the cost and the weight, but gives it a better feel than the rubberized outside. It also comes in black, brown, green and pink. There are a few poor reviews on Amazon, but most of them are pretty good. We think this Kindle Fire cover is still worth it.

We give the Soft Sun recommendation for this cover because of the price, the 3 separate angles, and the quality. It is fairly light, comes in 4 different colors, and is well designed. It doesn’t cover any of the ports or speakers, and it can be positioned up or folded back to be read like a traditional Kindle (a book w/o a cover).

All the reviews on Amazon are great, it is reasonably priced, comes with the basic hand strap for ease of use, can be propped up, and has a little pouch for your hotel key/bit of cash. The only two poor reviews have to do with the smell right after coming out of the sealed case. The producer commented on the review explaining this was because right after it is completed, it is sealed. If you are giving this as a gift, take it out, and let it air out for a couple days. If you are getting this for yourself, then set it in a well ventilated area (bathroom/garage, etc.) for a day or two if it smells, then it is good to go! Simple fix for the only complaint on a solid cover. Finally, they have spread the colors out all over Amazon, so we hunted them all down for you!
